Ellie Smith Associate Director
Before graduating from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in History of Art, Ellie was involved in a research project investigating the visual representation of interracial relationships. This prompted her introduction to the Graduate internship programme at the company. Following six months at Christie's in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Department, Ellie re-joined Philip Mould & Company.
Ellie published the first biography of the artist Sarah Biffin and curated the exhibition “Without Hands” The Art of Sarah Biffin (2022). During her time at the gallery, Ellie has worked on exhibitions including; Divine People: The Art of Ambrose McEvoy (2019-2020); Charleston: The Bloomsbury Muse (2021); and Fruit of Friendship: Portraits by Mary Beale (2024).
In 2024, Ellie joined the steering committee for The National Museum of Women In The Arts, UK Friends.
