Dora Carrington: Beyond Bloomsbury

Dora Carrington: Beyond Bloomsbury marks the first museum exhibition on the artist in nearly three decades. Co-curated by Anne Chisholm, editor of Carrington’s Letters (2017), and Ariane Bankes, this exhibition highlights the enduring significance of Carrington’s extraordinary work and unconventional life.
This exhibition seeks to reframe her place in the narrative of Modern British art history and features a wide range of her paintings, drawings, and prints, alongside film and photographs. On loan from the Philip Mould Gallery is Stephen Tomlin’s bust of the writer and critic Lytton Strachey, which was created at Ham Spray, in the Wiltshire Downs, where Strachey lived with Carrington.

Cedric Morris and Arthur Lett-Haines: A radical art school

Gainsborough’s House exhibition Revealing Nature: The Art of Cedric Morris & Lett-Haines has now travelled to Charleston under the title Cedric Morris and Arthur Lett-Haines: A radical art school. The exhibition brings together over 80 works from private and public collections, showcasing the breadth of Morris’ art, from his vibrant flower paintings to evocative portraits and landscapes, alongside Lett-Haines’ surrealist works, including rarely seen paintings and sculptures.
Among our works on loan in the exhibition are Morris’ Summer Garden Flowers, Still Life, Nasturtiums and Pears, Flowers in a Portuguese Landscape, A View of the Outbuildings at Benton End and Winter Flowers, as well as Lett-Haines’ Italian Landscape. Also on display are Morris’ Cabbages, Agaete Gran Canaria, An Italian landscape, and Connemara Landscape, all of which have been previously with Philip Mould & Company.

Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers
To celebrate their 200 anniversary, London’s National Gallery has brought a selection of Vincent Van Gogh’s most iconic paintings for their exhibition Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers. This special exhibition brings together beloved works from around the world, including rare pieces rarely seen in public, alongside his stunning drawings.
Key highlights include masterpieces like Starry Night over the Rhône (1888), The Yellow House (1888), Sunflowers (1888), and Van Gogh’s Chair (1889). These works reflect Van Gogh's poetic vision, filled with romantic love and imagination, seen in his landscapes and vibrant depictions of everyday life.
