Opening Philip de László: Master of Elegance Curated by the De Laszlo Archive Trust at Gainsborough's House
It was a pleasure to open Gainsborough's House's exhibition on the Hungarian-born painter Philip de László. Brilliantly curated by the De Laszlo Archive Trust, this is the first public show on this artist in Britain.
The exhibition features rarely-seen loans from private collections as well as important works from the Royal Collection, including a childhood portrait of Queen Elizabeth II when Princess of York. The exhibition is also accompanied by a beautifully illustrated catalogue, which can be found on Gainsborough's House website.
Philip de László: Master of Elegance runs until the 23rd of June.
