Charleston: The Bloomsbury Muse | Artlyst

Marina Vaizey
Our exhibition 'Charleston: The Bloomsbury Muse' and the current exhibition at The Charleston Trust, 'Duncan Grant: 1920', have both been featured in Artlyst by art critic Marina Vaizey CBE. Marina Vaizey looks into both exhibitions and how they complement each other: 'Charleston: The Bloomsbury Muse' and Philip Mould & Company showcases several works of art by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant from 1912-1948, whilst 'Duncan Grant: 1920' exhibits artworks solely by Duncan from and since his first solo show in London, 1920. Despite the differing subjects in each exhibition, as presented by Vaizey, they both demonstrate the importance of Charleston for both artists and how we can all continue to learn from not just Vanessa and Duncan, but from the Bloomsbury Group wholly.
